Delivery & Collections


Here’s what you need to know about delivery. Firstly, we keep all our stock here in Cork so that we can whizz it out to you in double quick time. Unlike other websites we don’t do  direct deliveries from our suppliers which means fewer delays and faster delivery. And we absolutely don’t get stuff sent to you through the UK.

Out of stock items may be available from our European suppliers to be sent direct to you if you can’t wait for us to get the item back in. Delivery charges are usually a little higher, just get in touch and we’ll let you know what the score is.

Collections from us by the couriers are made in the mornings Monday to Friday and most items will arrive at their destination the next working day.

We now have a reduced delivery charge for all addresses in Ireland and Northern Ireland, just €5 no matter how many items you order.

These days we use Fastway couriers, a modern computerised company which covers the whole country. 

When your order is dispatched you will receive a “Completed” email. In this email you will find your tracking number and a link to Fastway’s website. You will be able to track your parcel from the evening of when you get that email after it has been scanned in the Cork depot.

UK delivery is suspended until someone sorts out this Brexit mess. Sorry about that.

You can have your purchase delivered to any address that is convenient, your workplace or a neighbours’ if you like. Fastway deliver between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Please enter a daytime or mobile phone number when ordering in case the driver needs it.  Eircodes help the drivers enormously, especially in rural locations.

Ever since Covid, drivers no longer look for a signature, they may, if nobody is home, leave your package in a safe place or with a neighbour.  If tracking says your package has been delivered but you can’t see it, it’s best to have a nose around first before contacting us.

Saturday deliveries are normally not possible I’m afraid.

Most items are kept in stock permanently and the website is constantly updated to let you know if we are temporarily out of stock. You will be contacted promptly if the product you ordered cannot be dispatched in good time. You have the option of a refund or change of product if you do not want to wait.

Christmas delivery info.

The truly obvious is that Christmas is a busy time for the courier company so although they put on extra drivers, work weekends sometimes and load their vans to the roof, delivery of your item can take an extra day or more so order as early as you can. Hammockology isn’t actually as busy as we are in the summer so we are getting nearly all orders out next day. Large items like the wooden stands can take an extra day if the drivers van is full when he collects.

Collections will happen until December 20th and we would hope that it would arrive in time for Christmas but try not to leave it to the last moment if possible.

I’m afraid we don’t currently offer a gift wrapping service but are happy to put a note in the package for whoever it is intended for. Use the “Comment on order” box for this purpose.

All individual hammocks, chairs and small items come in plain packaging with no invoice inside. Some of the large items like stands have branded boxes which clearly show the contents, I’m afraid they are too big and complicated to wrap so consider having them sent to a neighbour if this might cause an issue. Get in touch and we will let you know which products are branded on the boxes.


If you live locally or happen to be passing and would like to collect your order or to have a look first before buying we’d be happy to see you. There are however a few points to bear in mind before you pop in.

1/ Hammockology is a web based business. There is no shop and we don’t keep regular hours. YOU MUST CONTACT US BEFOREHAND AND MAKE AN ARRANGEMENT FOR A DEFINITE TIME TO VISIT. We’re sorry if we can’t accommodate you with a time that suits you but we will try.

2/ Most items are in stock here most of the time, however you should enquire about availability before you come.

3/ Although many items are available to inspect or even try out not every single product on the website can be test driven. If this is the purpose of your visit talk to us first about whether that particular product is ready to relax in here.

4/ We only charge €5 for delivery and offer a two week any reason return policy.
