At Hammockology we know that when you buy online you want that item in your hands right there and then. That's not possible of course, but, we'll do our very best to get your purchase to you asap. When your order comes in we will get it out to you at the earliest opportunity, often leaving here the same day.

We also know that by shopping online you expect to get your goods at a competitive price, what you don't want is to see your savings wiped out by extortionate delivery charges. We now have a reduced delivery charge for all addresses in the Republic Ireland, just €5 no matter how many items you order.

DPD now offer a service where you will be sent a text message  on the morning of delivery informing you of the one hour window when your order will arrive. Make sure you enter your mobile number when ordering to avail of this free service.

Northern Irish deliveries are also by DPD but come in slightly more expensive at €7.50. Sorry about that.

Orders of large items like the wooden stands often qualify for free shipping. See individual products for details.

For most items we use DPD couriers, a large international company with all the modern computerized tracking facilities you would expect. Within the island of Ireland they will deliver to your door the next working day. Occasionally when an item is out of stock we may have it sent direct to you from our suppliers, this is usually with very large items outside of the summer months. See the "Delivery Info" tab on the individual product listing for details. Delivery of these items is generally within the week.

UK delivery is possible and generally takes 2 to 4 working days. Most items will cost you no more than €12 for courier delivery but you'll see the charge before payment.

You can have your purchase delivered to any address that is convenient, your workplace or a neighbours' if you like. DPD deliver between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Please enter a daytime or mobile phone number when ordering as the couriers will generally call first to ensure you are in.

Saturday deliveries are possible but horrendously expensive. Call us for a quote if you absolutely have to.

Most items are kept in stock permanently and the website is constantly updated to let you know if we are temporarily out of stock. You will be contacted promptly if the product you ordered cannot be dispatched in good time. You have the option of a refund or change of product if you do not want to wait.

We know that getting your order delivered on the 4th of January is less than ideal if it was meant to be a Christmas present. Read the following and nobody should be giving you dirty looks across the table during Christmas lunch.

Firstly, everything you can read about in the delivery section still counts but busy couriers sometimes take a day longer than usual.

Most items are kept permanently in stock and we try very hard to get them out of here for you the same or next working day. Because of the quick turnover of stock at this time of year if we get caught on the hop by an item being sold out you will be informed promptly and offered to change of item or a refund Most products are sent with DPD couriers and will be delivered within 24 hours in Ireland (inc N.I.). Last day of collection for these items is Thursday the 20th of December. May we suggest that if are going to order on the 20th you call first to ensure that it can leave that day. There are further deliveries just after Christmas and then things get back to normal on the 3rd of January.

Small items are sent by An Post who are naturally very busy at this time of year so add an extra day or two for safety.

UK customers. Please allow 5 working days for delivery of your order.

Oh, and a very Merry Christmas to you all!
